Shanghai Zhonghua Printing Co., Ltd., formerly known as Shanghai Zhonghua Printing Factory, was founded in 1912 and originated from the printing office of Zhonghua Book Company. It was restructured into a limited liability company in 1998 and is designated as a national-level enterprise for book and periodical printing by the National Press and Publication Administration. The company has printed many influential publications, including “Cihai,” “Paintings from the Shanghai Museum,” “Paintings from Sukarno’s Collection,” “Chinese Dictionary,” “Thames Historical Atlas,” and “Complete Works of Chinese Art.” In 2008, Zhonghua moved to its production base in Qingpu, equipped with high-end equipment for pre-press, printing, and post-press processes, enabling it to have short production cycles, high print volumes, and high-quality products. The annual printing capacity exceeds 5 million colors, and the binding capacity for various books exceeds 200 million copies.
